Life itself is hard enough and in times like these, it makes it seem even harder than ever before. That is why Detroit Impact is looking at long-term solutions.
How do we do all this?
We do through devotion, determination and hard work, and we do it through volunteers.
Our volunteers share our vision and back up their beliefs with support and action.
Our staff and volunteers are great role models! It’s largely because of them that our programs make a real difference.
Detroit Impact is a 501(c) (3) non-profit charitable organization operating as a part of a vision of community development, focusing on Detroit’s West side neighborhoods. We incorporated in 1991 with the goals of bringing resources and creative empowerment to the residents of this community. Our first task is helping low income and at risk youth to develop a sound values system, strong personal motivation and positive self-esteem. We seek to assist the youth in becoming responsible members of the community. Our program is a cooperative effort with parents, churches, schools, the business community, and neighborhood residents.
